Miniature portrait of Grzegorz Przybyło (before 1500-1547), a guild elder of the Guild of Goldsmiths, a city councillor of Krakow and a member of the bench. The portrait come from the guild’s inn of Krakow Goldsmiths.

One of the first independent portraits in Polish art. The fact that it depicts profiles of both spouses turning to each other testifies to the fact that the author of this bass-relief was well acquainted with Italian art. The bass-relief depicts Grzegorz Przybyło (died in 1547), a Krakow goldsmith, and his first wife, Katarzyna (died 1539). Grzegorz Przybyło first settled in Kazimierz, then moved to Krakow and bought a townhouse at Bracka Street. In 1534 he was a sub-elder and, between 1537-38 and 1541-42, the elder guild master of the Krakow Guild of Goldsmiths. In 1544 he became a city councillor of Krakow. In his workshop he taught apprentices from Hungary, Prussia, Silesia and Mazovia. He was a philanthropist and a benefactor to the guild.
