Burghers’ Splendour

Robe in sheet silver for the decoration of the painting of St Eligius (ca. 588-660)
From the Krakow Guild of Goldsmiths’ Chapel, dedicated to St Eligius – situated in the Monastery of the Franciscan Friars in Krakow. The robe is considered one of the most splendid sheet silver works from the 18th century which used to decorate paintings.
