Krakow from the north-west
Based on the panorama from the work by Georg Braun and Franz Hogenberg Civitates Orbis Terrarum (Cities of the World)
The view shows a topography of Krakow surrounded by city walls, the neighbouring towns of: Kazimierz and Kleparz, as well as of the suburbs and surroundings. Apart from the buildings presented with a great care to show architectural details, there is also a network of roads, rivers, suburban farmlands, meadows and orchards. The Gothic-Renaissance style of buildings was predominant in Krakow at that time.
