25 June 1366, Krakow. Casimir the Great (Kazimierz Wielki (1310-1370), King of Poland, formally establishes the town of Kleparz under Magdeburg Law and gives it the name of “Florencja”
The original of the foundation charter of Kleparz has not been preserved; neither has the document by King Ladislaus (Władysław) Jagiełło from 1420, which confirmed Casimir the Great’s charter
