Burgher’s Tenement House
St Christopher Carrying the Christ Child – a sculpture standing next to
the facade of the Krzysztofory Palace
This sculpture gave its name to the under Krzysztofory house and performed the function of its emblem. In 1796 the then owner of the Krzysztofory Palace had the statue of St Christopher removed from the facade because of its bad condition. Since 1929 it has been kept in the collection of the National Museum in Krakow. The sculpture on display here is a copy from the Krzysztofory palace.
